ELKS Most Valuable Student Scholarship 2025
The ELKS Most Valuable Student Scholarship program is also called ELKS MVS Scholarship. ELKS Most Valuable Student Scholarship is one of the various scholarships by ELKS National Foundation.
This scholarship program is open to all eligible students pursuing a four-year degree full-time, with a minimum of 12 semester hours, at a U.S. college or university. Students can apply regardless of their background, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university. Evaluation of Applicants will be based on their scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
Number of Scholarship Awards
The ELKS MVS Scholarship awards total of 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2025 competition.
NOTE: Male and female students compete separately.
ELKS Most Valuable Student Scholarship Award
The list of scholarship awards scholars will receive under ELKS MVS Scholarship is as follows:
- The Top 20 Scholars selected from the 500 national semi-finalists will receive an invitation to the weekend and scholarships of $30,000.
- The 480 runners-up receive scholarships of $4,000. Attendance at Leadership Weekend is required to be part of the Top 20 cohort and receive $30,000.
Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship
The eligibility criteria required to apply for ELKS Most Valuable Student Scholarship is as follows:
- Applicants must be current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States.
- Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
- High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens when they submit their applications; permanent legal residents do not qualify.
Scholarship Guidelines
Following is the scholarship guidelines of ELKS MVS Scholarship:
- The ELKS Scholarship programs are for undergraduate study only. A student may not receive more than one Elks National Foundation scholarship award or grant in any one academic year.
- The scholarships awards (except EEG) are evidenced by a Certificate of Award issued by the Chicago office of the Elks National Foundation. All checks are paid directly to the school; under no circumstance can we make payment directly to the student.
- We pay all checks directly to the school; under no circumstances can we make payments directly to the student.
- Students may use scholarship awards for cost of attendance expenses. In order to receive payment, a student must have the school send to our Chicago office, the completed Verification of Enrollment form, whereupon, we will issue our check, payable to the school, and mail it directly to the school to establish a credit in the name of the student. We will notify the student when we mail the check.
- The Elks National Foundation has no loan programs, vocational grants or assistance for graduate study available, and it does not maintain a mailing list.
- The Elks National Foundation reserves the right to cancel an award in total, if we do not hear from a student for two consecutive academic years.
