Who Can Apply: High school seniors residing in Rutland County or Windsor County, Vermont, who plan to pursue a two- or four-year undergraduate degree.
Selection Criteria: Students will be evaluated based on their ambition, drive, and impact on others, particularly through their appreciation of wellness and nature.
Jimmy’s commitment to his local community and his passion for helping others achieve balance left a profound legacy. After his passing in 2024, the scholarship was established to carry his spirit forward by supporting the next generation of wellness advocates.
About the Scholarship
The Jimmy LeSage Memorial Scholarship aims to empower high school seniors who share Jimmy’s enthusiasm for the outdoors and personal wellness. Eligible applicants must:
- Be high school seniors in Rutland County or Windsor County, Vermont.
- Plan to pursue a two- or four-year undergraduate degree after graduation.
- Applicants are asked to share their perspective on wellness, their personal connection to it, or what hiking in Vermont means to them. Along with their essay, students must upload a senior photo to complete their application.

- Impact: Demonstrated influence on others through their commitment to health, nature, or personal growth.
